I’m yet to see a moose in it’s natural habitat and not running away from the road while I drive by.
This painting is a combination of one of my favourite trees (red cedars) and one of my favourite animals. This is a scene I may never see in real life, so I tried to convey the true colour and feeling of how it exists in my mind.

This was my first attempt at painting (besides watercolour). I was so frustrated trying to get the colours right. I painted the background over 3 times, and must’ve watched 5 youtube videos on how to mute colours.
I still did it wrong, but I like the way it turned out.
